Names: Agassiz’s watersnake, copper-bellied moccasin, orange-bellied moccasin, red-bellied black snake.

Average length: 30-48 in.

Juveniles: 4-6 dark bands cross around the middle, and the belly is yellow to cream colored.

Habitats: Swamps, lakes, marshes and other wetlands.
